Fresh perspectives are great for practice. Variety can be a spice of Meditation! This talk explores the meaning of “meditation techniques” and shows how a variety of ways of attending to our experience is immensely helpful in sustaining a practice within a busy modern life. Most important, is doing it consistently, and variety and freshness helps this immensely. The best meditation is the one that gets done!

    This is definitely a different view on what I have come to practice in meditation. I have always stuck with just one practice, but having some variety sounds intriguing! I may try to add a little variety for some freshness in my practice.

      Indeed, Katy. That’s exactly what I think. I like meditating but I need to mix things around so that my mind stays interested over the long term. If I do the same thing over and over again, it will become tiresome for me. Variety can be the one thing that makes a lot of us continue our meditation for many more days. Alan, congrats on talking about this and trying to find solutions for people to find new, fresh ways to meditate.
