Be the Space of Thought

Be the Space of Thought post image

When we are assailed by thinking, it seems like thought is big and we are surrounded by thought, engulfed by thought. Or even when the mind is just plain noisy, this meditation helps really experience the smallness of thought and gives us a clear perspective on thinking. With this meditation on space and thinking, the big problem of thought, worry, stress, and monkey mind is put in its proper perspective, as a small thing that arises inside of a bigger space.

I sure hope this has been helpful to you in your exploration of meditation.

I will have to remember this – be the space of thought! Thank you again for another interesting and inspiring podcast. I am really learning a lot about meditation, and the heart of meditation throughout this collection. Thanks also for shedding some light on some unanswered questions.

This one here is one of my favorite practices. Ask me anything, anytime!

“Don’t get lost on a spiritual journey either” really hit the mark with me because for the last 4 years or so I’ve been lost in such a journey and forgot to live in the present, in the now. I think I love to learn new things and have new experiences but sometimes I just get lost in thinking about the future or the past and forget that the only thing that matters is this second. If there is one thing I need to learn and do more is be here, now.

It seems it is a natural and inevitable thing for those so inclined to seek. It is a good thing. But eventually one has to come around and open to the paradox that what you are seeking is what you already are, and always were. These can seem abstract statements but its quite possible to awaken to what they really mean.
